Microsoft Edge browser supports opening it from command line tool like Command Prompt. Here's the command to run the advantage browser from the command line.
Edge Chromium may be the default browser in the Windows 10 operating-system. When compared to old Ie or even the old Edge browser, the brand new browser is much faster and reliable. In fact, compared to other browsers, the brand new Edge provides some impressive battery life improvements. Though not as prominent as Chrome, the brand new Edge browser is slowly but surely gaining ground when it comes to browser market share. Quite simply, the new Edge browser is awesome in a lot of ways.
If you are a power user who uses the Microsoft Edge browser on a daily basis, there can be instances when you have to open Edge from Command Prompt or PowerShell. This is also true when designing custom scripts to spread out a URL. For instance, my broadband provider requires additional login to access the web. So, I created a simple script that auto logins as and when required. To do that, I must run Edge in the command line.
In those types of situations, you can execute a single-line command to run Edge in the command line and open any URL from there. The operation is very similar to the way you open Chrome from the command line. So, without further ado, stick to the steps below to operate the Edge browser in the command line.
Command to operate Edge from Command Line
To spread out the advantage browser in the Command Prompt, follow the steps below.
First, open the Start menu. You can do that by pressing the "Start" key.
Type "cmd" and press Enter to open the Command Prompt window.
After opening the command line window, make use of the "start msedge" command to spread out the advantage browser.
To spread out a URL from the command line in the Edge browser, execute "start msedge www.example.com" command. Switch the dummy URL with the actual website URL.
Start Edge in Incognito Mode from Command Line
Similar to the regular Edge browser, you can also open it in the Incognito mode. This is particularly useful when running the advantage browser from scripts. Follow the steps below to open Edge in incognito mode from the command prompt.
Open the Command Prompt window.
After opening it, execute "start msedge -inprivate" command to open Edge in incognito mode.
To open a URL within the incognito mode, execute the "start msedge www.example.com -inprivate" command. Switch the dummy URL using the actual URL.
That is all.
