With the recent updates to Windows 10, among the features that arrived to the OS may be the news and weather widget in the taskbar of the OS. News and Weather as the name indicates provides you with updates around the latest news happening who are around you along with weather information and traffic details of the town you're living in. You can add your Microsoft account and personalize it with information on where you are. Although it offers good quality options, the execution is not done along with it doesn't work correctly even after you've set your interests and news sections, while the weather works fine. There is also no option to edit it internally and all sorts of edits need to be done in Edge browser. Remove News and Weather from Windows 10 Taskbar:

Step 1: You may either personalize it or completely remove it from the taskbar. If you wish to take it off, right click on the news and weather on the Windows 10 taskbar and you may see the choice to turn off (see image below).

Step 2: Alternatively, you may also reach show icon only rather than icon and text. Should you enable icon only, it shows just the weather icon within the taskbar.

Step 3: Another option is to disable outdoors on hover option. This means that even though you accidently keep your cursor around the widget, it does not open it up before you click on it.

Step four: If you wish to customize the widget and alter this news and interest, you can edit the information using the option available. Click on the Manage Interests button available on the top and you can add your own interest areas.

Step five: When you click the Manage Interests button, this will open Edge browser with option to customize your interests. It is better to log in together with your Microsoft take into account better personalization.

Step six: Within the widget, if you don't like a particular story, you can right click and tell the widget for fewer stories like this or if you such as the story you are able to request more stories.

Step 7: If you wish to alter the home location of weather, click the three dots and edit the place. This can take you to the web browser where you can incorperate your location.

Step 8: You can also select the language and content you need to show within the widget. To do this, click on the three dots on top of the widget and select Language and content option.
